Choice Reaction Time

Directions

The subject will receive a single stimulus to either the index (right tip) or middle (left tip) finger. As soon as the stimulus is detected, indicate the location (LEFT or RIGHT) where it occurred by clicking the corresponding box on the computer screen*. It is important to respond as quickly as possible.

Testing Notes

Response time and accuracy are of equal importance in this test. If you do not feel a pulse, either because you were not prepared or took your finger off the stimulus tip, just click and move on. For proper accuracy in reaction time measurement, please use a two-button computer mouse, not a wireless mouse or laptop/external trackpad.

*When hardware response is enabled, you may respond to each question by depressing the corresponding stimulus tip.
